The build quality is outstanding, no shortcuts, a poured foundation, 2 x 6 walls, quality products, etc. Our contacts at RWS/Shuster's from start to finish were Chrissy Shuster and Dan Kalp. They explained everything from start to finish; they were easy to get in touch with, and all concerns were answered immediately. Always friendly and very helpful. Now the workers building our new home were also, very friendly, responsive and answered questions immediately. Needless to say, I was not worried about this build, I had satisfaction knowing it would be done right. We built a ranch home. My advice, look at the architectural plans very closely, such as size of rooms etc. We knew the kitchen was going to be a gathering point and some of the designs limited the kitchen table area. We went in to meet with the architect and my wife wanted to extend that area. He presented different ideas that opened up the kitchen exactly how my wife wanted it to look, we did not have to add on, needless to say, she loves the house, especially the kitchen area. This is a custom build home. After meeting with the architect, we had a basis of what we wanted, it gave us time to explore the plans we had picked and make them to our liking. Once we made our final decisions, we sat down with the architect again and tweaked the designs to our exact wants, you have many options. Would we build with RWS/Shuster's again? The answer is YES. I spoke with a neighbor down the street; he is on his 4th house built by RWS/Shuster's, that says it all!!

After a year of searching the South Hills area of Pittsburgh and buying a wrong condo for us all indications kept bringing us back to Shusters Villas. They tell you upfront that they don’t do the driveways and landscaping which is more involved and of course a known added cost. The subcontractors are excellent speaking with 43 years of construction experience. We were last minute buyers on the unit we wanted and maybe missed having a meeting with our contractors who may have had some suggestions on additional lighting and switching options. The only item I can fault Shuster’s for is the bottom of the line Andersen windows. If I’m buying a house-Villa in this price range I would like better window options. But overall a well built house-Villa in a great area and neighborhood!
